Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) is Kuala Lumpur's primary international airport, with more than 40 international carriers offering direct services to Kuala Lumpur. Malaysia Airlines (MAS), Malaysia's own national carrier operates from KLIA, connecting Malaysia to 850 destinations in 150 countries worldwide.
Opened in 2014, Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (KLIA2) is the hub for several regional and budget carriers including AirAsia, AirAsiaX, Malindo Air, Cebu Pacific Air, Tiger Air and Lion Air.
Both of the KLIA and KLIA2 airports are situated next to each other within the Sepang district. It is approximately 50km from Kuala Lumpur City Centre, or 60 to 75 minutes in travel time. Always plan your journey ahead to avoid unexpected traffic delays.
Upon your arrival at Kuala Lumpur International Airport, you can hire a taxi at the airport directly to your destination or hop on the KLIA Ekspres which will connect you to Kuala Lumpur Sentral in just 28 minutes! For more information on KLIA Ekspres, visit www.kliaekspres.com.
Grab is an online ride-hailing service which will ensure you a fair price while requiring minimal communication with the driver. Using your mobile phone and free app from Google Play or the iOS App Store, you can use the free airport WiFi to call a driver from Grab. Fares can be paid in cash if your credit card has not already been set up in the app.
